If the local MP suite in GoW5 were intact on PC, I'd have bought that game long ago were it left in for PvZ:GW2, I'd have thrown down a few bucks for it without a second thought, and then even likely bought copies for friends-if the game were fun. The irony being, it's dastardly and prejudicial design choices like this that keep many from buying the associated games / games from the associated companies. Even the Gears of War makers have adopted this internecine strategy: GoW5 only included campaign local co-op for the PC version with Horde (the primary replay value of the product) and PvP split-screen modes, which are present on console, removed.
